There are plenty of automation tools out there: Zapier, Make, Power Automate. We run n8n. There is a simple reason: it is open source and we can host it ourselves.
n8n is a visual workflow tool that connects systems. Odoo with email. Online store with inventory. CRM with Slack (or Teams, if you prefer). The workflows are built in a graphical interface and run on our own server. No data leaves our infrastructure unless we want it to.
We have built workflows that send orders from PlastShop to suppliers automatically. Workflows that sort incoming emails into the right CRM pipeline. Workflows that generate technical data sheets when new products are created. It saves time every day.
The big advantage over Zapier and similar tools: no per-task pricing. When you run n8n yourself, you pay for the server, full stop. Whether you run 10 or 10,000 automations per day.
The downside? You need technical knowledge to set it up and maintain it. We have that. Or we can teach you.
